Procurement Assistant Vice President

1. Supply Chain Strategy & Management

• Establish and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy for India and international markets.
• Establish and maintain KPI for Global supply chain and Procurement
• Build and optimize an efficient supply chain network to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials and products.
• Identify risks within the supply chain and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

2. Procurement & Supplier Management

• Research, select, and manage suppliers for raw materials, components, and other essential resources all over the world.
• Negotiate procurement contracts, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
• Develop long-term supplier relationships and evaluate performance through key metrics.
• Oversee procurement operations for overseas offices, ensuring alignment with global procurement policies.
• Conduct inspection and acceptance checks to ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
• Understanding the internal purchasing process and making improvements to it.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with planning, development, and manufacturing teams to align procurement with production schedules.
• Ensure that material availability aligns with business needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Coordinate with finance and accounting teams for cost control and budget planning.

4. Logistics & Distribution Coordination

• Oversee domestic and international logistics operations to ensure smooth transportation of goods.
• Manage import/export processes, including customs clearance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Optimize freight and shipping costs by negotiating with logistics providers.
• Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting shipment status.

5. Inventory & Cost Management

• Track and Report inventory costs to the accounting team or firm as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement efficient stock management strategies.
• Conduct demand forecasting and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
• Analyze and report procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

6. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements in procurement and supply chain operations.
• Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments to maintain supply chain integrity.

7. Team Leadership & Development

• Supervise and mentor procurement teams, both in India and across our overseas offices.
• Develop team capabilities through training and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
