QA Engineer - Cypress || Immediate Joiner

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer (Cypress) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation testing, strong proficiency in Cypress, and a deep understanding of software quality assurance best practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the reliability and performance of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
• Design and implement end-to-end, integration, and regression test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring their timely resolution.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test automation execution.
• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and optimize test execution.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to the overall QA strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cypress for web automation testing.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing automation scripts.
• Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, test design, and test strategy.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Familiarity with REST API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience in cross-browser and mobile testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git) and test management tools.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and participation in sprint planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
