Note: This is for a full-time role (not a contract/consultancy/client role)

• Location: Hyderabad/ Pune/Delhi/Chennai/Bengaluru/Mumbai (Preference for candidates already based here)
• Language: Hindi
• Fluency in regional languages preferred but not mandatory
• Experience: 0-5 years of experience in Data centers, Passive cabling, Structured Cabling Systems
• Education: Diploma / Graduation/ B. Tech in relevant field
• Skills : Cable Installation, Connector Termination, Rack and Cabinet Installation, Blueprint Reading, Data Center Standards, Fiber Optic Splicing,
• Job Type: Full-time, Work from office or customer site
• Work Week: 6 days (Mon-Sat)
• Timings: India shift (9.30AM-6.30PM, can change based on project requirements)

Job Description

The Passive Cabling Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and testing of structured cabling systems within data centers, office buildings, and other facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling standards, best practices, and safety procedures. The technician will work with copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related hardware to ensure reliable network connectivity.

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fibre optic cables, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.

• Set up and configure network infrastructure components like racks, cabinets, and patch panels.

• Manage cabling, including dressing, labelling, and organization within designated spaces.

• Use testing equipment to verify cable performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure connectivity.

• Interpret technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and follow safety protocols (including PPE use).

• Document installations, test results, and collaborate with teams to complete projects successfully.
