Admission Counselor

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

• Conduct outbound/Inbound calls to prospective students to generate interest in the institution's programs.
• Follow up on inquiries and leads received via calls, emails, or online channels.
• Qualify leads based on their needs, preferences, and eligibility for admission.

1. Admissions Conversion

• Provide accurate information about programs, admission processes, and benefits of the institution.
• Build rapport and address queries to guide prospective students toward enrolment decisions.
• Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly admission targets.

1. Lead Management

• Track, update, and manage leads in the CRM system to ensure timely follow-ups and proper categorization.
• Maintain a pipeline of leads with regular updates on the stages of conversion.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to provide feedback on the quality of leads.

1. CRM Maintenance

• Ensure the CRM system is updated with accurate and complete data, including call notes, follow-up schedules, and outcomes.
• Generate reports on lead progress, conversion rates, and other key metrics as required.

1. Stakeholder Communication

• Collaborate with the admissions team and other departments to streamline the admission process.
• Proactively share suggestions to improve lead conversion strategies and enhance processes.

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to ethical sales practices and institutional guidelines during communication.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions to uphold the institution's reputation

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 2 3 years of experience in an educational or counselling role, preferably in an admissions department or educational consultancy.
