Job Description for Team Member – Core Database

Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and motivated C/C++ Technical Team Member with 2-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in C/C++, as well as experience with databases and Linux environments. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, working collaboratively with a team of developers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Contribute to the development of Database core components, including the query optimizer, storage engine, and execution engine.
• Feature Development: Implement new features and extensions to enhance database capabilities.
• Performance Optimization: Analyse and optimize performance through code profiling, benchmarking, and algorithm improvements.
• Linux Environment: Develop and deploy applications in a Linux environment, utilizing shell scripting and other Linux tools.
• Code Review and Testing: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards; write and execute unit tests.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, testers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects and issues.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software applications and systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in C/C++ development, database management, and Linux systems.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience:
• 2-6 years of experience in software development using C/C++.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.
• Proficiency in working with Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.

• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
• Familiarity with database concepts, SQL, and database optimization techniques.
• Experience with Linux development tools and environments.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications:
