Project Engineer (Pharma Projects Execution)

Role & responsibilities

• Implementation and execution of projects across all regions through effective planning, monitoring, and coordination among internal teams.
• Understand resource requirements for projects from Lead- Projects Execution and participate in formulation of a project charter for the same.
• Coordinate with client and Marketing, internal Inventory Management, Stores & Logistics Finance & Accounts and other teams to ensure resources are available as per the project schedule.
• Detailed project scheduled preparation & monitoring.
• oordinate with client to ensure on necessary design and equipment specification approval on time & drive the project as per timeline.
• Coordinate with vendors to finalize equipment specification as per customer requirements and ensure the necessary technical documents approval on time to meet equipment delivery timeline.
• Project materials BOQ/SOQ preparation.
• Coordinate with Purchase team to ensure on time order placement to sub vendors and on time delivery from vendors.
• Coordinate with contractors/vendors to implement project site execution activities properly.
• Understand User Requirement Specifications (URS), understand of P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Layout 3-D drawings etc.
• Guide site teams for preparation of Project site documentation.
• Preparation of project site & office documentation.
• Constantly monitor progress on project and plan for future requirements that may arise during the execution of the project, develop contingency plans for unplanned resource requirements.
• Understand applicable legal and statutory compliances and prepare a checklist for on-site Projects Execution team to drive adherence to the same; highlight any discrepancies to Lead Projects Execution
• Drive communication across internal departments like Sales & Marketing, Production, Projects Execution, and other teams to ensure there is effective coordination and ensure that there are not delays because of the same
• Gather and analyse data on key project parameters including progress against project milestones, material consumption, cost effectiveness, adherence to statutory requirements and present the same to Lead- Projects Execution / Management to assist decision making
• Ensure change management (Cost & Time) to be followed in case of revisions in the project requirement from customers
• Based on project reports generated, provide own suggestions for identification of improvement areas, risks and issues and necessary actions required to supervisors
• Monitor all the projects against schedule timelines highlight any deviations from Project / Budget perspective
• Strive to improve cost and efficiency through effective central resource planning across projects
• Identify any hindrances in project execution and escalate the same at appropriate times ensuring cost optimization
• Ensure timely updating the MIS with data on project related activities
• Assist site team for completing installation/testing/commissioning/documentation in accordance with the customer approved protocols.
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during execution at sites.
