Husk Power Systems - Manager - Purchase (5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Ensure cost efficient procurement of all solar plant equipment's & services; ensuring compliance of commercial policies, terms & conditions.

- Keep the records of all Plant configuration, drawings and BOM.

- Conduct research via the Internet, catalogues, trade publications to identify potential suppliers.

- Interview prospective suppliers either face-to-face or over the phone to determine prices, discounts, terms, etc.

- Create spreadsheets with vendor & product or service comparisons of prospective suppliers to support management decisions.

- Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files and records, price lists, the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, locate suppliers, approve bills for payment, monitor subcontractor performance, calculate the cost of orders, ensure invoices are charged to the appropriate accounts, and monitor inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping records.

- Prepare and communicate to the Sales, Design and Construction teams - product availability, lead times, and cost roadmaps for key materials.

- Monitor and support returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.

- Organize the logistics arrangement for all inbound and outbound shipment for timely material delivery.

Requirements:

Essential:

- Experience in sourcing suppliers and subcontractors for Solar installation projects.

- Excellent time management skills

- Good communication skills - Need to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

- Ability to use MS Office tools.

- Creative and problem-solving.

- A strategic and analytical mind.

- Location for this role is Patna.

- Having minimum 5 years' experience, preferably some experience in procurement of solar plant equipment's

- Knowledge of Commercial terms and conditions, GST Rates

Preferred:

- Experience in usage of ERP packages such as Zoho Books/ Tally/ other packages, IT savvy.

- Sense of urgency

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, long term relationship-oriented personality.

- Excellent knowledge of Vendor Management.

- Microsoft Office and MS Excel Savvy.

- Creative problem-solving.

- A strategic and analytical mind.
