We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Project Manager

In this role, you will:

Lead and deliver medium/large technology projects, programmes and platforms in the Payments domain.
The individual should possess the capability to being a hands-on contributor in requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, implementing and maintaining Data and Cloud based Solutions.
Work alongside teams within the Business and Operations teams to establish business needs and define both short term as well as long term strategies, Roadmap and features.
Work alongside various technology teams both internal and external involving Business Analysts, Architects, Cloud API Developers, DevOps Engineers, Test Automation Engineers etc to proactively plan, manage and honour delivery commitments, whilst bringing efficiencies across the Agile/SDLC workflow.
Directly manage and be accountable for medium size annual budgets > $2m and development teams > 30.
Identify, analyse, communicate and resolve interdependencies between different payments applications.
Use a combined knowledge of the payment domain, Payments applications and platforms, payments data modelling, data applications, cloud applications and analytics to solve business and operational problems.
Make recommendations about the methods and ways in which we obtain and analyse large payments data sets, improve quality and the efficiency of our data systems.
Collect Interpret payments data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions.
Lead the resolution of SIT, UAT, performance tests, DR and Production Incidents, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills alongside effective decision making and critical thinking.
Showcase an ability to multi-task, track multiple issues, effectively manage time and competing priorities, and to drive results through partner teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Prior experience across project planning, costing, resourcing, requirements gathering, build and implementation, stakeholder co-ordination, release management and production support.
Domain experience across the banking lifecycle - Core Banking, Retail and Corporate Banking.
An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving, with an attention to detail.
7+ years in Technology Project Management with atleast an additional 5+ years in hardcore Software Development in Database development, Data Analysis, Data Visualisation tools, Data transformation techniques for vendor and bespoke enterprise level applications in the banking domain.
Should have directly led a team of over 30 resources - including Business Analysts, Architects, Cloud API Developers, DevOps Engineers, Test Automation Engineers etc - across the software development lifecycle.
Should have been directly responsible for seeking, planning, managing and reporting on annual budgets of atleast $2m.
Sound knowledge of payments workflows and statuses across various systems within a large global bank.
Ability to effectively navigate and deliver transformation programmes in large global financial organisations, amidst the challenges posed by bureaucracy, globally distributed teams and local data regulations.
Solid Experience in Agile methodology and leading agile delivery, aligned with organisational needs.
Effective leader as well as team player with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
Strong communication skills coupled with presentation skills of complex information and data.
A first-class degree in Engineering or relevant field - with 2 or more of the following subjects as a major Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics.
Experience in PL/SQL, RDBMS/NoSQL databases, Big data tools and Cloud technologies.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements: (Good to have Requirements)

Experience in collecting large data sets, identifying patterns and trends in data sets.
Understanding of DevOps and CI tools (Jenkins, Git, Grunt, Bamboo, Artifactory) would be an added advantage.
