Job Description_ Project Engineer/ Manager
Equipment: Diesel engines, alternators, control panels, electrical systems, gear boxes, couplings, shock mounts, Heat exchangers, silencers, and related auxiliaries.
Engineering:
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to understand new project requirements.
- Prepare the SOTR (Statement of Technical Requirements) based on customer specifications.
- Communicate with sub-vendors to request quotations (RFQ) for relevant components.
- Assist the Sales Team by providing a Bill of Quantities (BQ) and detailed costing sheets.
- Understanding the Navy/Coast Guard standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with OEM for Design to Order solutions when necessary.
- Negotiate commercial terms with sub-vendors.
- Understand and prepare drawings and calculations in collaboration with sub-suppliers/vendors.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Responsible for timely preparation and submission of drawings and engineering calculations to customers/end-users, coordinating with the AutoCAD team.
- Maintain close follow-up with the Logistics team to understand and communicate delivery schedules to customers.
- Coordinate with OEM to arrange FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities.
Commissioning:
- Provide comprehensive project information to the site team.
- Ensure the delivery of contractually agreed equipment to the customer.
- Conduct training sessions for the site team on project requirements.
- Hand over all GA drawings, P&ID, and other engineering documents to the site team.
- Maintain close follow-up with the site team on installation and commissioning activities.
- Provide necessary support to the site team during installation and commissioning by communicating with respective sub-suppliers.
- Attend the site for technical troubleshooting support.
- Conduct SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and HAT (Harbor Acceptance Testing) as per CAT standards and project requirements.
- Prioritize Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards for the site team and equipment.
- Attend Sea Trials to ensure the proper functioning of equipment under operational condition.
