5 Refex Industries Head Logistics Jobs

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head - Logistics to manage the end-to-end logistics operations for our wind turbine manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of international shipping, import customs clearance, liner details, ports, duties, Bill of Lading (BL), scope of work clarifications, and negotiation skills. Additionally, the candidate must be well-versed in domestic inroad logistics, material handling, and warehouse management to ensure the seamless movement of components from ports to manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

International Logistics & Import Management:

• Plan and manage imports from China and other international suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
• Oversee shipping contracts, freight negotiations, and coordination with shipping liners, freight forwarders, and NVOCCs.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs clearance processes, and duty structures in India.
• Maintain strong relationships with ports, shipping agencies, and customs authorities to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
• Handle Bill of Lading (BL), Letter of Credit (LC), and other shipping documentation.
• Optimize shipping routes and analyze cost-benefit scenarios for different modes of transportation.

Domestic Logistics & Material Handling:

• Manage inroad logistics for transportation of wind turbine components from ports to manufacturing facilities and project sites.
• Ensure the efficient handling of oversized and heavy cargo, including route planning and regulatory approvals.
• Develop and implement warehouse management strategies to improve material handling and storage efficiency.
• Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to streamline operations and reduce lead times.

Operational & Strategic Management:

• Define and execute logistics strategies that align with business objectives and cost optimization.
• Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Lead a team of logistics professionals, ensuring training, development, and performance management.
• Stay updated on global trade policies, shipping industry trends, and regulatory changes that impact the wind energy sector.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, supply chain, and project teams to ensure a seamless logistics process.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in international and domestic logistics, preferably in manufacturing(Wind Turbine), renewable energy, or heavy engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, shipping industry operations, and customs clearance. Familiarity with FTA benefits, customs duty structures, and EXIM policies.
• Expertise in negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations with logistics service providers.
• Experience in handling oversized cargo and specialized transportation.
• Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities.

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management , Or Engineering. Certifications in Logistics (Such as CLTD) are preferred.
