Chemist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chemist with a strong background in iron ore analysis and processing. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working in the iron ore industry, preferably in infrastructure or mining operations. This role requires expertise in conducting chemical analyses, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met for raw materials and processed products.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed chemical analysis of iron ore samples using laboratory equipment.

Ensure accurate testing of Fe content, moisture levels, silica, alumina, and other impurities.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory testing and quality assurance.

Monitor and maintain calibration of laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy.

Work closely with production and quality teams to support process improvements.

Prepare comprehensive technical reports on analysis results and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Maintain laboratory safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in iron ore analysis, preferably within mining, infrastructure, or metallurgical industries.

Proficiency in using laboratory instruments like XRF, AAS, and other spectroscopic techniques.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
