Role Description :
This is a full-time on-site role for a Group Manager (10+ Years Experience)/Team Lead (7+ Years Experience)in Embedded Software, Hardware Development, Verification, and Validation at ASM Technologies Ltd in Bengaluru. The role involves leading and managing a team in the development and verification of embedded software and hardware projects, ensuring quality and meeting project timelines.
Technical Requirements :
Expertise in Automotive Embedded Systems : Strong proficiency in developing automotive embedded systems.
Domain Knowledge : Excellent understanding of Body Electronics, Infotainment, ADAS, and in-vehicle networking.
Safety and Security : Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cyber Security principles.
EDS System Engineering : Mandatory experience in Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) within the
automotive domain.
ECU System Engineering : Experience with automotive products such as window regulators, window latches, sunroofs, door modules, BCM, and instrument clusters.
Engineering Disciplines : Comprehensive understanding of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Test & Verification Engineering, Validation Engineering, and Functional Development.
Safety Analysis Methods : Knowledge of methods such as FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, PPAP, APQP, etc.
Requirements Management : Experience in requirements specification (MS Office), management, traceability, and predictive reliability (FTA).
Project Management : Experience in managing embedded system projects.
Development Methodologies : Familiarity with Agile development and continuous integration.
Tools & Technologies :
Programming Languages : Embedded C, C#.NET, C++, MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW.
Vector Tools : CANalyzer, CANoe, CANdiva, CANCaseXL, CANister, CANscope.
Scripting Languages : CAPL, Python, Perl, Java, Shell scripting.
Protocols : Proficient in CAN (J1939), LIN, FlexRay, XCP, UDS, SPI, I2C, UART, and Diagnostics.
Development Processes : Agile, SCRUM, V-Model, etc.
Nice to Have :
- Knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with IoT, AI, ML, Data Science, Industry 4.0.
- Experience with Qt/QML and Froglogic Aqua.
- Understanding of HMI/GUI development and testing.
- Proficiency with Git and tools like Jenkins/JIRA.
- Experience in Linux/Windows user space.
- Skills in writing and reviewing test plans, test cases, and reports.
- Knowledge of wireless protocols, IoT, and cloud services.
- Basic understanding of PLC ladder programming and system engineering practices.
Job Responsibilities :
- Plan and conduct dependability studies for customer and internal projects, adhering to project requirements and methodologies while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain dependability studies for components of the electronic system architecture, focusing on
reusability across projects.
- Identify, recruit, and hire suitable personnel at appropriate stages.
- Contribute to Requests for Quotations (RFQ) related to electronic system dependability, including :
- Analyzing dependability requirements from customers.
- Estimating workload for dependability activities based on function and process analysis.
- Provide training and support for the electronic dependability process and tools to the team.
- Conduct annual/semi-annual customer feedback and appraisals for team members.
- Collaborate with global offices and internal sales teams.
- Recommend and implement goals, objectives, and practices for the team.
- Ensure timely completion of timesheets and project reports.
