Internal Auditor

Reports To: Head of Audit / Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to oversee financial and operational audits across our cinema locations. The role involves inventory audit, cash audit, voucher scrutiny, payment reconciliations, real-time audits, transactional audits, asset audits, and daily stock & cash audits. The auditor will also ensure compliance with financial policies, minimize risks, and improve internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Audit

• Conduct daily audits of stock movement (Stock-In & Stock-Out) at cinema locations.

• Verify inventory levels of concession items, merchandise, and operational supplies.

• Ensure that stock records match actual physical inventory.

• Identify discrepancies, shrinkage, or mismanagement and recommend corrective actions.

2. Cash Audit

• Perform daily cash audits to verify cash collections, deposits, and reconciliations.

• Ensure proper recording of Cash-In & Cash-Out transactions.

• Identify discrepancies, missing transactions, or fraudulent activities.

• Monitor compliance with cash handling policies and banking procedures.

3. Voucher Scrutiny

• Examine vouchers, receipts, and invoices for accuracy and legitimacy.

• Verify supporting documents for expenses, refunds, and promotional offers.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies before approving vouchers.

4. Reconciliation of Payments (Online & Offline)

• Verify and reconcile digital transactions (credit cards, UPI, wallets, net banking, etc.).

• Cross-check online payments with daily revenue reports.

• Reconcile cash and offline payments to ensure accuracy.

• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
