Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Review and finalization of quarterly and annual Financial Statements along with all the relevant schedules and notes to accounts. Liaising with Statutory and Internal Auditors and getting quarterly and annual audit done within timelines. Accurate and timely completion of all the activities to ensure timely monthly and quarterly books closing as per Sector / Corporate timelines / guidelines. Compliance with Statutory requirements. Timely MIS reporting. Timely closure of statutory and internal audits on quarterly basis. Monthly review of AOP Vs Actuals variances.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

Preparation of Financial Statement and Auditing of the same Finalization of quarterly and annual financial statements of the Company. Finalization of all the relevant schedules and notes to accounts. Liaising with statutory and Internal auditors and getting quarterly and annual audit done within timelines. Providing details, schedules, working to the auditor and addressing auditor s queries. Timely closure of IFC audit. Co-ordination with SSC and finalization of quarterly/annual financial statements of the Company along with notes to accounts and schedules. Preparation of all the audit workings, providing of details / documents to statutory/internal auditor for quarterly/annual audit and to ensure smooth closure of the respective audits.

Monthly closure of Books of Accounts Ensure timely and accurately Monthly Closing of Books of Accounts consisting all the activities including provisions, accruals, depreciation, treasury run, inter-co. balance reconciliations etc. Preparation of monthly working of expense provisioning, unbilled revenue, interest and loan working etc. tracking of various type of Loans, Interest and its calculations and other details and completion of Treasury Module Run in SAP on monthly basis, Reconciliation of Vendors ledgers & Customer ledgers, Vendor ledger and Customer ledger open line item clearing on daily/weekly basis.

Monthly MIS and Reporting Preparation of monthly MIS, Stock Statements for submission to banks. Variance analysis of expenses and movement of balance sheet items on monthly basis to ensure correctness and controls of data. Monitoring receivables and payables on monthly basis and preparation of receivables and payables ageing on monthly basis. Preparation of monthly MIS (P/L and B/S analysis) for circulation to management, Revenue analysis, Variance analysis, other details/reports as required by the management. Preparation of data for Quarterly/Half yearly/Annually AOP Vs Actuals reviews and other management requirements. Preparation of other workings, details, templates as per the requirements of the Sector / Group / Management.

Statutory Compliances Liaising with Indirect Tax team for payment of GST liabilities and providing data for preparation of relevant GST Returns and ensure compliances within due date.

Liaising with Direct tax team for preparation and finalization of Form 3CD, Income Tax Returns, response to IT notices, Interaction with Tax Auditor for getting Tax Audit done. Liaising with Direct tax team for review of TDS workings/reconciliations, ensure payment of TDS on monthly basis within due date and applicability of TDS rates, review and filing of TDS return on quarterly basis.

AOP Preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Variance analysis of Actuals Vs AOP on quarterly/half yearly/annual basis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional Details

Related Party Transaction Reporting Ensure proper reconciliations of Intercompany transactions on monthly basis. Preparation of Related Party Transaction working/template. Reconciliation of Vendors ledgers, Customer ledgers, Vendor and Customer line item clearing. Preparation and reconciliation of Energy Revenue Tracker and Transmission Revenue tracker on monthly basis.

Entries in SAP Review and posting of invoices, in SAP, pertaining to purchase of Energy, Gas, REC, other purchases relating to trading business. Review and posting of other vendor s invoices in SAP. Booking/posting of expenses/liabilities in SAP and posting payment entries/JVs in SAP. Thorough scrutiny and analysis of all vendor and customer GLs, Bank GLs, liabilities booked, expenses incurred, payments made etc. on monthly basis.

Statutory Audit, IFCR Audit, Internal Audit, Tax Audit to provide workings, supporting documents, all banks Balance confirmations, loan statements, treasury reports etc. required for statutory audits, internal audits, IFCR audits, Tax audits.

Others Timely providing any information requirement by the Management of the Company / Group Corporate requirement etc.

Any additional work coming as and when in relation to fund raising activities / Investor requirements etc. AOP Vs Actuals analysis of expenses / liabilities.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8 to 10 years of post qualification experience.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Atleast 4-6 years of experience in Energy Sector (domain function).
