Graduate Engineer Trainee - Mechanical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer Trainee with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join our Procurement/Expediting team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience, develop core engineering skills, and contribute to ongoing projects. You will work closely with senior people, assist in various phases of project development, and play an active role in ensuring the successful completion of projects.

• Expediting Orders:
  Track and expedite procurement orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Liaise with suppliers to confirm order status and resolve any delays or discrepancies in the supply chain. Ensure procurement timelines align with project schedules.
• Supplier Coordination:
  Develop and maintain communication with suppliers and vendors to monitor order progress. Assist in resolving issues related to quality, delivery delays, and discrepancies. Build strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Work closely with the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure material requirements are clearly understood and procurement orders are aligned with project specifications and deadlines.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
  Assist in tracking the status of ongoing procurement activities and generate regular reports on the progress of orders and deliveries. Highlight any risks or delays to project timelines, and suggest corrective actions.
