Commercial Proposal Manager

Job Description Summary As a Commercial Proposal Manager for the Manufacturing business unit of GE Vernovas Electrification Software you will be responsible for the curation and development of proposals that maximize profitability. The preferred candidate will demonstrate the ability and flexibility to effectively collaborate cross-functionally with sales solution architects and services to produce high-quality detailed and compelling proposals that position us to win.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead Proposal Development: Oversee the entire proposal development process including conducting bid/kickoff meetings developing proposal pricing content and managing all pricing and risk approvals.
• Analyze and respond to RFPs: Thoroughly analyze request for proposal (RFP) documents to understand client requirements and ensure proposals meet these requirements.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with cross-functional SMEs subject matter experts to develop proposal content that demonstrates the organization solution capabilities value and is priced accordingly.
• Edit and Proofread: Edit revise and proofread proposal content to ensure it is clear concise and free of grammatical errors.
• Post-Proposal Reviews: Conduct post-proposal reviews to gather feedback and lessons learned for future proposals
• Stay Current: Stay up to date with industry trends and changes to ensure proposals are current and competitive.

Required Qualifications

• This role requires proven experience in proposal management or sales operations
• Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
• Effective English written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrates curiosity is a self-starter and is committed to ongoing personal and professional growth

• Strong oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills. Can coordinate with SMEs and senior management to keep the proposal process on track. Understands when and how to follow up on requests and can deliver messages clearly and succinctly.
• Ability to create and communicate execution plans. Capable of planning ahead to mitigate risks. Organized and paces work for predictable and on-time delivery.
• Ability to apply current knowledge to problem-solve new challenges.
