Who will you be working with
As a key Member of the Wabtec, you will work closely with customer specifications, railroad standards, and FRA regulations to deliver the final product at the highest quality standard. You will be expected to bring your expertise to the team, mentoring junior engineers and guiding them in system design and programming.
How will you make a difference
As a member of the Signalling group, you will be responsible for
- Ensuring the final product meets all engineering requirements as lead checker.
- Provides technical risks and mitigation plans,
- Participate in the review of project scope with managers and project leads, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and project goals,
- Review and manage document control, including maintaining versioning controls and reviewing deliverables for accuracy prior to submission,
- Attend project reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
What do we want to know about you
You must have:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Equivalent,
- Minimum 10 to 15 years work experience in the field of Railway Signalling,
- Proficiency in Circuit book, Level crossing designs and data application.
- Design wayside and crossing systems, including vital logic controller (VLC) programming and wayside interface unit (WIU) programming,
- Expertise in handling the team.
- Assists in issue resolution for technical disciplines.
- Provides technical risks and mitigation plans.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD or Microstation.

- Experience with the following
- ElectroLogIXS, XP4, ElectroCode
- GCP 4000
- MicroLok (Hitachi)
- Relay Interlocking
- SATS vital simulation software
- Class I freight railroad signaling
- I-ETMS PTC functionality

- Collaboration with peers and stake holders,
- Review of the scope documents,
- Handling/assigning the tasks to the team members,
- Provide high level technical support,
- Collaboration with the stake holders,
- Act as independent checker verifying Signalling designs,
Deliver the project with high quality and maintain timeliness
