GalaxEye is anIndian headquartered space tech startup and first Indian HQ startup to send theSatellite in orbit soon. GalaxEye is building the worlds first multi-sensorimaging satellite, The Drishti Mission. These indigenously built satelliteswill enable governments, defence, and industries to perform advancedstate-of-the-art geospatial analyses.
We are looking for a Senior RF Engineer to join us and work on developing frontend modules for the Radar, to be deployed in space. Candidates should have both practical and theoretical knowledge of Radar circuit elements and so have experience working with components like VCO, Mixers, Amplifiers, filters, receivers, etc. They should have knowledge on the development of these integrated circuits, as well as have experience working with simulation softwares.
Roles and responsibilities:
Lead the team to design and develop the RF Transceiver circuit for a high power radar module working in the GHz frequency spectrum.
Perform System Design to generate design requirements for the Transceiver/TRM Units.
Research on Phased Array, Digital Beam-forming, RFSOCs architectures.
Overlook the development of every module for the Front End and Antenna
Co-ordinate with Partners and vendors for the fabrication of the Radar
Plan and Strategise the testing and Calibration activities on ground based platform and Satellite
Plan and Strategise the integration process of the Radar to the Satellite Platform
Formulate hardware AIT procedures with the payload.
Lead a team of freshers and interns to accelerate the development process.
Requirements
Understanding of the design process (from concept through to delivery)
Experience with designing, manufacturing and testing a high frequency transceiver module for a radar system
Knowledge of and experience in RF simulation tools like ADS, CST, MATLAB or SPICE
Experience with testing instruments like spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, impedance tuner
Knowledge of Structural aspects of the PCB and its response to various vibrational environments.
Knowledge of performance and manufacturing of GaN based semiconductors over other types
Experience in RF electronics debugging, testing and calibration
Experience in Radar system characterization and Calibration
Knowledge of RF design parameters including, harmonics, noise figure, impedance matching, S parameters, etc.
Understanding of RF system engineering and digital signal processing of the I/Q signal
Knowledge of Antenna beam shaping using signal modulation
Should be able to manage a team of inexperienced freshers and interns to accelerate the development process.
Should have good communication skills and be able to work in an agile environment.
Enthusiasm to build the first Private radar based satellite of India.
