Job Description

The Bid Manager / Opportunity Lead will play a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end process of responding to proactive solution requests, creating compelling proposals, and ensuring a smooth, coordinated effort across internal teams
This role requires an individual with strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and the drive to ensure that all opportunity responses are delivered with excellence and on time
Key Responsibilities:Opportunity Management:oIdentify and qualify proactive solution requests and opportunities
oEvaluate each opportunity for alignment with capability available with team as well as companys product offerings
oServe as the main point of contact for all opportunity-related inquiries
Proposal Development:oLead the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and RFP responses
oCollaborate with BAU team, Architects, Customer and product teams to tailor solutions that meet client requirements
oEnsure proposals clearly communicate the value proposition, competitive advantage, and differentiators
oProvide recommendations on best practices for proposal design and content
Project Management:oOversee the entire bid process, from opportunity identification to final submission and then through implementation
oCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate proposal delivery
oManage timelines, resources, and priorities to ensure that all proposals are submitted on time
oResolve any obstacles or risks that may delay or affect the proposal process
Stakeholder Coordination:oEngage with senior leadership, and other internal teams to provide updates and feedback on the opportunity pipeline
oAlign with internal teams to gather information, validate assumptions, and ensure consistency in proposals
Client Interaction:oOccasionally liaise with clients for additional information, clarification, or to ensure understanding of their needs
oPresent proposals and solutions to clients, answering any questions and addressing concerns
Tracking and Reporting:oMaintain and report on the progress of bid responses and the status of opportunities
oTrack the conversion rates, outcomes, and overall effectiveness of proposals
oProvide regular updates to leadership on pipeline health and opportunity status
Continuous Improvement:oGather feedback from internal teams and clients to continuously improve the bid process
oImplement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and increase win rates
oKeep up to date with industry trends, competitive offerings, and best practices in bid management
Qualifications:
Experience:oMinimum of [X] years of experience in bid management, proposal writing, or business development in a [specific industry] environment
oExperience managing large, complex bids and RFP responses
oProven track record of successful proposal outcomes and meeting deadlines
Skills & Competencies:oExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
oStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
oStrategic thinker with the ability to craft compelling solutions and align them with client needs
oDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in proposal development
oAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
Education:oBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
oPMP certification or equivalent project management certification (a plus)
