Business Operations Analyst

Role Overview:

The Business/Operations Analyst will be responsible for overseeing fuel supply chain operations improving cost efficiencies, ensuring 99%+ OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) compliance, and leveraging data-driven decision-making to optimize performance. The candidate will work closely with regional managers, operations teams, and senior leadership to ensure smooth and profitable execution of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Performance & Strategy Execution

• Monitor and manage daily fuel deliveries for sites, ensuring 99% OTIF compliance.
• Track, analyze, and improve fuel consumption, vendor performance, and site-wise efficiency.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve P&L performance, reduce costs, and optimize fuel supply chain logistics.
• Identify high-risk operational areas and implement preventive measures to ensure business continuity.

2. Cost Optimization & Profitability Improvement

• Drive cost-saving initiatives that optimize delivery operations and reduce expenses.
• Identify high-cost vendors and negotiate better contracts to improve profit margins.
• Implement process automation and digital transformation to reduce manual intervention and inefficiencies.
• Improve EBITDA margins by optimizing fleet efficiency, vendor sourcing, and logistics planning.

3. Data Analytics & ERP Process Enhancement

• Analyze delivery data, compliance reports, and financial trends to identify areas for operational improvements.
• Work on ERP migration and implementation, ensuring 100% order closure and minimal operational leakage.
• Enhance reporting dashboards to provide real-time performance insights to the leadership team.
• Use analytics and predictive modeling to optimize fuel supply chain planning and demand forecasting.

4. Compliance, Vendor Management & Audits

• Ensure regulatory compliance and operational adherence to company policies.
• Conduct vendor performance audits, tracking SLAs and ensuring accountability.
• Establish automated compliance monitoring systems to reduce risks and manual errors.
• Work on automating fuel purchase approvals, and integrating real-time tracking for operational transparency.

5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Regional Managers & Operations Teams to ensure seamless fuel delivery execution.
• Act as a bridge between ground teams, vendors, and senior management, ensuring smooth communication and execution.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years in Operations, Business Analysis, or Supply Chain Management.
• Education: B.Tech / MBA in Operations, Logistics, or Business Analytics (preferred).
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, ERP Systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze logistics, P&L, and performance data to drive efficiency.
• Process Improvement: Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean Operations, and Automation Strategies.
• Negotiation & Vendor Management: Proven ability to handle vendor contracts and improve cost structures.
• Strategic Execution: Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on optimizing operations and increasing profitability.
