Associate Design Engineer_Seal

Role Summary: Understand execute engineering tasks as per work instruction with minimal guidance. Practice scientific approach and determines the foreseeable cascading effects applicable for a given change. Demonstrate knowledge on seal operating windows and seal associated materials. Implement Engineering best practices and most effective execution means independently. Responsibilities:

• Implement Engineering lessons learnt Best Practices make best use of existing tools and support Kaizen projects to improve productivity.
• Performing tasks associated with complicated component design for standard products wet gas seal products and seal testers.
• Performing tasks associated with complicated assembly for special/ nonstandard products for wet dry gas seals with guidance.
• Execute special engineering task involves re-engineering, schedule driven projects, retrofit jobs, upgrading to current design standards, new product development.
• Checking the correctness of the designs originated by associates and other to ensure error free issue to downstream functions.
• Effectively utilize(reporting / interpreting / analyzing)established business system features in day-to-day business.
• Implements engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps .Generates bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products.
• Conducts engineering analysis under supervision.
• Execute special engineering task involves re-engineering, schedule driven projects, retrofit jobs, upgrading to current design standards, new product development.
• Perform ATS related Engineering task which involve special design for engineered application.
• Demonstrates in depth product specific international standards and allied engineering standards.
• Maintains Certified Designer status.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives/ projects.
• Demonstrate the acquired credentials in par with skill matrix expectations.
• Knowledge on Product based/ equipment-based seal designs.
• Consolidate project requirements and create design guideline for engineering
• Ensures on-time performance of assigned tasks.
• Provides engineering drawings, bill of materials and engineering analysis quality with accuracy and well-developed content.
• Drives product cost reduction, Leads time reduction activities.
• Provide responses to internal and external customer feedback.
• Ensures productivity expected KQI on assigned task at desired efficiency.
• Perform ASPE related Engineering task which involve special design for engineered application under supervision.
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge on auxiliary systems associated with mechanical seal.

Requirements :

• Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/Production discipline or Equivalent (Min. 3-yrs course) with 5+ years of experience in engineering industries OR Engineering Graduate with 1-3 years of experience in engineering industries preferably with Seal industry experience

• Strong team building, organization, administration, communication, problem solving, influencing, and facilitating skills is required to manage.

• Fluency in Verbal and Written "English" communication.

• Proficiency in basic IT tools such as Windows, MS-Office products, PLM ,and other related tools
• Need to have Collaborative Interpersonal Skills.
• Taking ownership of actions, initiating things for process betterment and passion towards learning and mentoring
• Expert in AutoCAD (2D 3D) and 3D modelling software s (INVENTOR/ SOLID WORKS /CREO)
