Power Bi Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and visualization, adept at using DAX, and capable of translating complex data into actionable insights. Additionally, experience with Power Apps to create business applications will be highly valued. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver comprehensive BI and application solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Design Power BI Reports and Dashboards: Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide business insights.
• Data Modeling: Design and implement effective data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to meet business requirements.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources such as SQL databases, Excel, cloud services, and APIs into Power BI.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports for performance by using best practices in DAX and data modeling.
• Power Apps Development: Develop and maintain Power Apps to create user-friendly business applications that integrate with Power BI and other data sources.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support business decision-making and provide actionable insights.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and Power Apps, ensuring they can utilize the tools effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation for data models, report designs, Power Apps, and development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 years of experience in Power BI development, with a strong portfolio of past projects. Experience with Power Apps development is highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expertise in Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI Service.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX for data modeling and calculations.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience in developing Power Apps for business applications.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
• Certification in Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Apps.
