Engineer (QA/QC)

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes and procedures for an upstream oil and gas engineering team. This role will work closely with engineering, operations, and project management to ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards and specifications.

Role & responsibilities

1) Develop and document quality control plans, procedures, and checklists for engineering processes, technical documents,

2) Perform quality audits and inspections on engineering designs, calculations, drawings, reports, and other project deliverables

3) Identify quality issues and non-conformances, and work with the team to implement corrective and preventive actions

4) Review and validate engineering data, calculations, and technical information for accuracy and compliance with standards

5) Oversee quality control testing programs for materials, equipment

6) Maintain quality control records, logs, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

7) Provide training and guidance to engineering team on quality control best practices

8) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve quality assurance and control systems

9) Stay up-to-date on industry quality standards, regulations, and best practices

10) Create and implementation of quality control and quality assurance procedures and process during the design and manufacturing of Expros equipment.

11) Create and implement the global vendor qualification procedure in collaboration with supplier quality team.

12) Create and implement the competency assessment of companys quality control personnel and maintain the certification and competency of the quality team.

13) Allocate resource and manage quality control inspections during manufacturing process of Expros equipment.

14) To ensure effective management of designated quality assurance / quality control, document control and assurance system personnel providing guidance and support

15) Advising on compliance with applicable legislation, standards and industry best practice

16) Establish and Overseeing lessons learnt and best practice processes to aid continual learning within the business.

17) Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expros reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest.

18) Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorisation for any deviations from standard procedures.

19) Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 10 Safety House Rules.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related technical field

- 5+ years of experience in quality control and assurance, preferably in the oil and gas industry

- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, techniques, and tools

- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and data

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

- Effective communication and collaboration skills

- Familiarity with API, ASME, and other relevant industry standards

- Experience with quality management software and data analytics tools
