System Support Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Assist users in navigating and utilizing software applications effectively.
• Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring optimal operation and reliability.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups as required.
• Document system configurations, changes, and issues to maintain accurate records..
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct user training sessions to enhance understanding of systems and applications.
• Provide support for onboarding new employees regarding IT systems and tools.
• Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement system improvements and upgrades.
• Work with vendors and external partners to resolve escalated issues and implement solutions.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support tickets, solutions, and system configurations.
• Generate reports on system performance, user issues, and resolution statistics for management review.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools, backup solutions, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Experience with operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS) and common software applications. Proven experience managing software development or engineering teams.

Additional Details:

• This is a full-time position based in Ahmedabad.
• Good at English (verbal and written) communication.
• Comfortable to work as per US timings.
