Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing:
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for proprietary parts that align with the companys
technological and commercial goals.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers that specialize in custom or exclusive parts, ensuring they
meet the companys technical, quality, and cost requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, securing favourable terms for
proprietary components.
2. Supplier Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of proprietary parts, fostering long term partnerships.
• Monitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards,
delivery timelines, and cost targets.
• Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance, quality, or delivery.
3. Cost Management and Optimization:
• Lead cost reduction initiatives for proprietary parts without compromising quality or
performance.
• Analyze market trends and conduct benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing.
• Manage the budget for proprietary part sourcing, ensuring alignment with financial
objectives.

4. Quality and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure proprietary
    parts meet all required specifications and standards.
    • Implement and oversee supplier quality management programs, including audits,
    inspections, and corrective actions.
    • Ensure that all proprietary parts comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
    5. Innovation and Technology Collaboration:
    • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to source innovative and technologically
    advanced proprietary parts that differentiate the company’s EV products.
    • Engage suppliers early in the product development process to leverage their expertise and
    ensure manufacturability.
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the supply base, encouraging suppliers to propose new
    ideas and improvements.

6. Risk Management:
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain
disruptions for proprietary parts
• Ensure the availability of contingency plans and alternative suppliers for critical
components.
• Monitor geopolitical, market, and technological risks that could impact the supply of
proprietary parts.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Act as a liaison between procurement, engineering, R&D, and production teams, ensuring
alignment on sourcing strategies and priorities.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to address challenges and
opportunities related to proprietary parts sourcing
• Facilitate communication between internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth project
execution.
8. Reporting and Analytics:
• Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of proprietary part sourcing,
including supplier performance, cost savings, and risk management.
• Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize sourcing strategies
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to proprietary part sourcing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing complex supplier relationships and sourcing high-value,
    custom components.
    • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in contract management.
    • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and supplier quality management.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to proprietary parts.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across
    departments.
    • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software is a plus.
