About this opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Red Hat OpenStack Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining our OpenStack infrastructure, leveraging Red Hat OpenStack technologies to build scalable and secure cloud environments. You will work closely with DevOps, system administration, and engineering teams to ensure the smooth operation of private cloud solutions and contribute to optimizing system performance. Your expertise in Red Hat OpenStack, cloud architecture, and automation tools will be critical to supporting our cloud initiatives and ensuring seamless infrastructure management..

What you will do:

Deploy, configure, and maintain Red Hat OpenStack/Mirantis OpenStack environments in production and development settings.
Manage OpenStack components such as Nova, Neutron, Glance, Keystone, Cinder, Horizon, and others.
Implement and optimize cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of the OpenStack platform.
Work with development and operations teams to design and integrate cloud solutions into existing infrastructure.
Perform upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting of OpenStack environments.
Automate cloud infrastructure management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or other configuration management tools.
Monitor and maintain the health of OpenStack components, including the underlying hardware and network configurations.
Address performance, security, and scalability issues within the OpenStack environment.
Develop and document best practices and operational procedures for OpenStack deployments.
Assist with training and mentoring junior team members on OpenStack concepts and best practices.
Collaborate on capacity planning, load balancing, and disaster recovery strategies.

The skills you bring:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with Red Hat OpenStack/Mirantis OpenStack, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
In-depth knowledge of OpenStack components (e.g., Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone).
Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu and related system administration tools.
Familiarity with cloud orchestration tools (e.g., Heat, OpenStack CLI, Horizon).
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and performance analysis tools.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, SDN, and virtual networks.
Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native technologies is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
