Finance Head

Role & responsibilities

1. Day to day bookkeeping:

• Oversee daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchase, payments, and receipt.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data in the accounting system.
• Maintain general ledger and sub- ledgers with proper reconciliations.

2. Accounts Finalization:

• Prepare and finalize financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.)
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
• Review and verify trail balance, reconciliations, and adjustments before finalization.

3. Costing and inventory management:

• Analyse production costs, overheads, and variances.
• Implement cost control measures to improve profitability.
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and ensure proper cost allocation.
• Provide cost analysis reports to management for decision- making.

4. Taxation & Compliance:

• Manage GST, TDS, and income tax filings and ensure compliances.
• Handle tax assessments, refunds, and regulatory queries.
• Stay updated with changes in taxation and financial regulations.

5. Cash Flow & Fund Management:

• Monitor daily cash flow and ensure proper fund allocation.
• Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.
• Prepare fund flow and cash flow statements for financial planning.

6. ERP & Financial System:

• Ensure proper financial controls and automation of processes.
• Work with IT teams to maintain and improve accounting software/ERP.

7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

• Supervise and guide the accounting team for efficient workflow.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for financial matters.
• Provide financial insights and reports to management.

Preferred candidate profile

Must be CA-Inter/CA
