Associate - Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage Forex transactions and Import/Export Banking Operations. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end foreign exchange processes, manage international trade documentation, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinate with banks for seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Forex Management:

• Manage foreign currency transactions, including buying/selling forex and handling currency hedging.
• Monitor currency fluctuations and optimize forex rates for international payments.
• Maintain accurate forex exposure reports and ensure compliance with RBI and FEMA regulations.

2. Import/Export Banking Operations:

• Handle all banking documentation for Letter of Credit (LC), Bill of Lading (BL), Bank Guarantees, Advance Payments, and other trade finance instruments.
• Process import/export documentation in compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and banks for smooth shipment and payment processes.

3. Financial Transactions & Compliance:

• Manage international vendor payments, including wire transfers and foreign remittances.
• Ensure timely settlement of import/export bills and manage post-shipment financing.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and ensure adherence to FEMA, GST, and other statutory compliances related to foreign trade.

4. Banking & Reconciliation:

• Liaise with banks for forex transactions, loan management, and credit facilities.
• Reconcile bank statements for foreign currency accounts and ensure accurate reporting.
• Track and manage outstanding receivables/payables related to international transactions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Forex regulations, FEMA, RBI guidelines, and international trade compliance.
• Hands-on experience in Import/Export banking operations (LC, BL, BG, and customs clearance).
• Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degreeBachelor's degree in commerce
• 3-5 years of experience in handling forex and import/export banking operations.
• Knowledge of trade finance instruments and foreign exchange management.
