The English Communication Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and facilitating English communication sessions tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities. The trainer will ensure the program is engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the overall goals of the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Training Delivery:
Conduct interactive and impactful English communication sessions focusing on grammar, vocabulary, conversational skills, and workplace communication.
Use innovative teaching methods such as role plays, group discussions, and real-life scenarios to make learning practical and enjoyable.
2. Content Development:
Develop and customize training materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools, keeping in mind the diverse learning needs of PwDs.
Incorporate multimedia tools and assistive technologies to enhance the training experience.
3. Assessment and Feedback:
Regularly assess candidates progress through assignments, tests, and observations.
Provide constructive feedback to candidates to help them improve their communication skills.
4. Mentoring and Support:
Serve as a mentor and motivator for candidates, building their confidence and self-esteem.
Address individual challenges faced by candidates and offer personalized support.
5. Collaboration:
Work closely with the EnAble India training team to align communication training with other skill-building programs.
Collaborate with external volunteers and trainers to bring in diverse perspectives and practices.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of training sessions, attendance, and candidate progress.
Submit regular reports to the Training Manager on program outcomes and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
Educational Background:
Master s degree in English, Communications, Education, or a related field.
A teaching certification (e.g., TESOL, TEFL) is preferred but not mandatory.
Required experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an English trainer or educator, preferably with exposure to working with persons with disabilities or diverse learners.
Skills Key Attributes Skills:
Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
Ability to adapt teaching styles to cater to different learning needs and abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Creativity in using innovative training methods and tools.
Proficiency in using basic digital tools (MS Office, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
Knowledge of an Indian language apart from English is an advantage.
