Strategy and Vision:

• Refine and articulate a compelling platform vision, strategy, and roadmap - incorporating leadership objectives, subject matter expertise, market research, competitive analysis, technical feasibility, intuition, etc
• Define and monitor metrics that inform broad and impactful adoption of gen AI tools at Lilly

Platform / Product development:

• Partner closely with technical leadership (architect, tech SWE lead) on ideation, maintaining roadmap and well refined backlog, development, and launches
• Work with engineering team to ensure development velocity and unblock (eg, brainstorming technical designs, clarifying user stories and backlog priorities)

Developer / User experience:

• Stay closely connected to platform users (aka Lilly software developers) via informal discussions, formal UX research, feedback tools, etc
• Ensure priority product and developer needs are well represented in platform roadmap / backlog

Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication:

• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders such as research, clinical, marketing, sales, support, and other teams to ensure product success and alignment with company goals.
• Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all stakeholders -
• Explore new use cases, new users, and evangelize to drive awareness and adoption / usage

Market analysis

• Monitor and analyze market trends, staying informed of the latest developments in gen AI technology and compelling use cases
• Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities to help make technology adoption and priority decisions

• Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of product management experience in a high-tech, life sciences, or related field
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product or platform throughout its lifecycle
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one s sleeves to get the job done.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled at working closely and effectively software engineering teams
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset

• APIs and Integrations: Basic understanding of how APIs work to enable product integrations and interactions.
• DevOps Concepts: Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (eg, Git), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Code Logic and Structure: Not necessarily writing code, but the ability to understand how code is structured for communication with developers.
• Agile Documentation: Crafting detailed and clear user stories with acceptance criteria understandable by developers.
• Basic understanding of UX design principles to ensure the product delivers an intuitive user experience.
• Awareness of QA processes and tools (eg, Selenium, TestRail) to align product requirements with quality checks.
• Analytics and Tracking Tools: Knowledge of Google Analytics or similar tools to track product metrics.
• Project Management Tools: Experience with tools like Jira, DevOps for managing backlogs and user stories.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in software development in life sciences, medical device, or similar environment with regulation and quality management systems
• Focus on shared learning, continuous improvement, and drive adoption of best practices.
• Possess a positive and energetic attitude to move the business forward.
• Strong preference for experience in AI/GenAI.
