DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

The impact you will have in this role:

As the Lead Jira Developer for the Jira Governance & Support Team you will collaborate with other IT SMEs and the DTCC Jira user community to ensure the continuous improvement of our Jira implementation.This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications based on the Atlassian Jira platform. This position works closely with project and product managers, business analysts, other developers, and end users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with DTCCs Jira implementation best practices and standards.

What Youll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain DTCCs Jira implementation using its configuration capabilities supplemented by Groovy scripts.
• Create custom workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and other Jira configurations to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality, performance, and security.
• Support creation and execution of test cases.
• Document process using both narrative and diagram artifacts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Jira-related issues.
• Manage Jira enhancements and Groovy scripts using source-code control.
• Stay up to date with Jira developments and new features.

Qualification:

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Minimum 4-years experience as a Jira developer creating and maintaining Jira configurations, automation of complex workflows as well as scheduled and event-based automation.
• Minimum 2-years experience Groovy programming in support of a Jira implementation.
• In depth knowledge of Atlassian Jira with the focus on all aspects of the Jira Data Center configuration.
• Experience with the Data Center Jira API (Application Programming Interface) and REST (Representational State Transfer) API.
• Experience with all functions of the ScriptRunner plugin.
• Experience with the Jira Software Development Kit (SDK) and ability to write plugins for Data Center and Cloud.
• Experience with integrating other tools/data using Jira Services.
• Jira certification (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator).
• Proficiency in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle including project planning, analysis, design, development, and unit-testing.
• Proven experience in software development using CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with different software development methodologies and philosophies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
• Platform: Linux (servers); Windows (work environment).
