Dish TV - MS SQL DBA Manager - Database Performance Tuning (5-10 yrs)

Job Description :

- Regular DBA administration understanding including security / release / performance / Monitoring / backups and HA+DR closely

- Hands on exposure to configure, manage, monitor and troubleshoot large scale Always ON and Distributed Always On (DAG) environments.

- Hands on experience with Clustering platforms.

- Understanding of Migration and upgrade of various SQL server versions in place + other environment.

- Hands on experience with Replication technology including transactional replication and troubleshooting.

- Good understanding and hands on exposure to configure , manage, monitor and troubleshoot Log shipping environment

- Should be able to handle 24 x 7 rotational support including night shifts.

- SQL server certified would be an added advantage.

DBA : Database Administrator, someone responsible for managing and maintaining databases.

MSSQL : Microsoft SQL Server, a relational database management system developed by Microsoft.

Desirable Knowledge :

- Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies, particularly in the context of Microsoft Azure.

- Experience with SQL Server on virtualized environments or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
