Category Procurement Leader Electrical (CRGO) Steel

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Strategy Development

• Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies for CRGO steel, encompassing raw materials (RM), forging & machining (F&M), and packaging.
• Focus on optimizing procurement for high-value (Category A) and high-priority (Category B) parts to ensure maximum value creation.

2. Market Analysis

• Conduct detailed market analyses, tracking trends in pricing, supplier capacity, and technological advancements.

3. Supplier Performance Management

• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics for quality, delivery, cost, and compliance.
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations to drive improvements and maintain alignment with business goals.

4. Cost Benchmarking

• Lead cost benchmarking initiatives to achieve competitive pricing within the CRGO steel category.

5. Contract Management

• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, defining terms for pricing, quality, and service levels.

6. Innovation & Sustainability

• Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation in materials and processes, enhancing the value of CRGO steel

8. Diverse Supplier Inclusion

• Identify and onboard diverse suppliers to support the companys inclusion and diversity goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Up to 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a strong focus on steel or similar categories.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and cost benchmarking.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable contract terms.
