Kamailio and FreeSwitch Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Kamailio:

1. Configure and manage Kamailio for SIP routing and dispatching.
2. Develop and maintain Kamailio configuration scripts for various VoIP functionalities.
3. Troubleshoot SIP-related issues and ensure seamless integration with backend systems.

• Freeswitch:

1. Install, configure, and maintain Freeswitch for VoIP and telephony solutions.
2. Build and optimize Freeswitch dial plans and modules.
3. Monitor and debug Freeswitch operations to ensure high availability.

• Linux OS Administration:

1. Perform installation, configuration, and patch management for Linux-based servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
2. Manage system security, backups, and recovery procedures.
3. Optimize system performance and automate routine tasks using shell scripting.

Web Server Management:

1. Install, configure, and manage web servers like NGINX and Apache.
2. Optimize server performance to handle high traffic and load.
3. Ensure web server security and maintain SSL configurations.

• MySQL Database Management:

1. Design, configure, and maintain MySQL databases.
2. Perform database tuning, indexing, and optimization for performance.
3. Implement backup strategies and ensure database availability.

• Collaboration and Support:

1. Work closely with the development and network teams to deploy and integrate new features.
2. Provide Level 2/3 support for VoIP and server issues.
3. Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience with Kamailio SIP server and Freeswitch setup and management.
• Strong expertise in Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat).
• Hands-on experience with web servers (NGINX, Apache).
• Proficiency in MySQL database management, queries, and optimization.
• Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark.
• Experience with server monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
