Database Architect - PostgreSQL (8-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Feature development, bug fixes, and review patches.

- Security patch implementation and code fixes for Long-Term Support.

- Performance optimizations for queries and indexing strategies.

- Contribute modules and Foreign Data Wrappers.

- Certify and standardize database infrastructure.

- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies.

- Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends.

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in PostgreSQL internals.

- Debug existing PostgreSQL code.

- Enhance PostgreSQL Community Edition software.

- Execute Community Edition version enhancement requests.

- Participate in Community Support Forums.

- Community Leadership and Mentoring.

- Serve as an SME in troubleshooting critical events.

- Define and set best practices according to client environments.

- Perform testing and benchmarking activities.

- Expert knowledge of C, Bison, Flex, CVS, Auto tools, and Meson.

Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in database administration and development, with a focus on PostgreSQL.

- Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

- Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL internals.

- Proficiency in C, Bison, Flex, CVS, Auto tools, and Meson.

- Proven experience in developing and optimizing PostgreSQL code.

- Experience with feature development, bug fixes, and security patches.

- Strong understanding of query optimization and indexing strategies.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to participate in community forums and mentor others.
