Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Integration Development
- Assist in designing and building data pipelines and ETL workflows to support People Systems applications.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, Domo).
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and Python scripts for data transformation and automation.
- Implement API-based and batch integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, Learning Pool (Learn!Now), and other enterprise systems.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Work with business and technical teams to analyze data and integration requirements.
- Assist in creating technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and integration workflows.
- Ensure that solutions follow best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
Collaboration & Agile Development
- Participate in Agile Scrum team activities, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with the Sr. Data Engineer I to refine and implement data solutions.
- Collaborate with the Yum! Data Science team and business stakeholders to ensure data alignment with reporting and analytics needs.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor data pipelines, ETL jobs, and system integrations to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Assist in troubleshooting data quality, performance, and security issues.
- Recommend improvements to data workflows and system architecture.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain technical documentation, including data mappings, ETL workflows, and API configurations.
- Share knowledge with team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging data engineering trends and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or system integrations.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or similar languages for data transformation and automation.
- Exposure to ETL processes, data pipelines, and integration architectures.
- Not required but preferred: Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM and Learning Pool (Learn!Now).
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, API-based integrations, Snowflake, Power BI, Domo).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and API development.
- Familiarity with Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of data modeling, reporting, and analytics concepts.
Soft Skills
