PQM Lab Technician- Concrete

Job Description

• Responsible for coordinating with State TS Managers for submission of cement samples for concrete related studies/trials at PQM lab 
• Maintain the record & acknowledge the receipt of samples submitted to lab. 
• Well adept with Indian Standards for concrete mix design and physical testing of hardened concrete samples
• Responsible for planning & conducting concrete mix trials, tests on fresh & hardened concrete samples, in an orderly manner, as per the timelines
• Systematically maintain and periodically update the mix trials reports and concrete test results in MS Excel (as per approved formats) to PQM Lab coordinator/Manager 
• Monitor & maintain the lab conditions as per Indian standard requirements
• Maintain stock record of consumable items in concrete lab and periodically update it to PQM Lab coordinator/Manager for timely re-purchase
• Responsible for AMCs, calibration, periodic repair and maintenance of concrete lab related equipment 
• Responsible for training & demonstration of concrete related mix trials and test procedure to newly joined off role/on-role TS officials, masons & contractors
• Responsible for conducting trials for development of concrete mixes of varying grades using different types of blended cements
• Responsible for conducting trials for admixture compatibility & slump retention using different types of cement, to meet requirements of major IS segment customers
• Responsible for conducting concrete trials using different types of aggregates, to investigate the feasibility of their use in concrete mixes & compare their performance
