iAM Implementation Manager - SailPoint/Okta (8-11 yrs)

Job Title : IAM Implementation Manager.

Location : Offshore role in India.

Duration : 6 Months.

Role Overview :

The IAM Implementation Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining identity and access management (IAM) solutions within the organization.

This role focuses on integrating and customizing IAM platforms, such as SailPoint IdentityIQ, ensuring seamless user lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and access recertification processes.

The IAM Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to secure applications, automate provisioning and deprovisioning, and enforce compliance standards.

Additionally, they troubleshoot and resolve issues, optimize system performance, and drive continuous improvement of IAM solutions to safeguard enterprise assets.

Key Responsibilities :

IAM Solution Development :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable IAM solutions with integration into key systems like SailPoint IdentityIQ.

User Lifecycle Management :

- Ensure efficient automation and management of user onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions.

Access Control Enforcement :

- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and manage access certifications to ensure compliance and least privilege access.

System Integration & Customization :

- Integrate IAM solutions with internal and external applications using APIs and custom connectors.

Incident Resolution :

- Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues and incidents promptly to minimize downtime and business impact.

Performance Optimization :

- Continuously monitor and optimize IAM systems to ensure reliability and scalability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into IAM solutions.

Process Improvement :

- Identify opportunities to automate and improve IAM processes to increase efficiency and align with best practices.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Hybrid IT/IS Environment :

- Manage IAM solutions across both cloud platforms and on-premises systems, ensuring integration with infrastructure like SQL databases and JBoss application servers.

Stakeholder Management :

- Interact with senior management and business stakeholders to align IAM strategies with business objectives and security priorities.

Vendor & Partner Relationships :

- Coordinate with third-party vendors and implementation partners to integrate and maintain IAM solutions, ensuring business requirements are met.

Cross-Training :

- Cross-train other team members on IAM functions.

Challenges & Solutions :

- Integration Challenges: Solve complex integration issues by developing custom connectors or API solutions for seamless communication between IAM systems and diverse applications.

Access Provisioning Errors: Resolve errors in automated user provisioning and deprovisioning processes, ensuring accurate account management.

- Performance Bottlenecks: Identify and address performance issues within IAM systems like SailPoint IdentityIQ, optimizing system scalability and response times.

- Role-Based Access Issues: Address challenges in RBAC by refining role definitions and minimizing over-provisioning of access rights.

- Compliance Violations: Investigate and remediate compliance violations by implementing corrective actions and enforcing stricter access controls.

- Incident Resolution: Handle critical IAM incidents, such as security breaches, by conducting root cause analysis and recommending long-term preventive measures.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of IAM principles (RBAC, least privilege, access provisioning, recertification).

- Expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ with experience in implementation and customization.

- Familiarity with other IAM tools like Okta, Ping Identity, or Microsoft Identity Manager.

- Knowledge of regulatory and security standards related to IAM.

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as BeanShell, PowerShell, Python, Java for automation.

- Experience with API-based integrations and system connectors for enterprise applications.

- Strong development skills in customizing IAM workflows and processes.

- Ability to diagnose IAM issues and optimize system performance.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.

- Ability to automate user lifecycle management and access review processes.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ, IAM development, and support.

- Experience working with both cloud-based (e., Azure) and on-premises IAM systems.

- Proven track record in maintaining IAM solutions in compliance with security regulations.

- Experience integrating IAM systems with banking systems using various integration approaches (e., API, Microservices, Hybrid connectors).

- Incident management experience, including the resolution of IAM-related security incidents.
