Job Description
- Cost Estimation : Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
- Budgeting and Cost Control : Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Procurement : Procure materials and services required for construction projects, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices, and manage contracts effectively.
- Valuation : Assess progress on construction sites, measure quantities of completed work, and prepare interim valuations for payments to contractors.
- Contract Administration : Administer construction contracts, review contract terms and conditions, and resolve any disputes that may arise.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle and develop strategies to mitigate risks and maximize project profitability.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and other relevant documentation in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
