Key Responsibilities :
Production Support :
- Provide production support for applications built using Java, Microservices, Kafka, and databases like MongoDB and SQL.
- Ensure high availability and minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution :
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, system outages, and user queries.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes of incidents.
Application Monitoring : Use Dynatrace and other monitoring tools to proactively monitor the health of applications, identify bottlenecks, and ensure systems are performing optimally.
Incident Management :
- Manage and resolve incidents efficiently, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and preventive measures.
Configuration and Deployment Support : Assist in configuration changes and deployments in a production environment while following best practices for application lifecycle management.
Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams such as development, infrastructure, and business analysts to resolve issues and enhance system performance.
Shift Work : Be available to work in rotational shifts, covering Australia, UK, and US Central working hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- 5-7 years of experience in production support roles, with expertise in Java, Microservices, Kafka, and databases (both SQL and NoSQL such as MongoDB).
- Strong experience with Dynatrace or similar application monitoring and performance management tools.
- Hands-on experience supporting mission-critical applications in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of application monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management processes.
- Proficient in working with microservices architecture, ensuring seamless communication between distributed services.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and containerization (e.g. , Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for identifying issues and optimizing system performance.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support global teams and customers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively coordinate with stakeholders across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline management and automation.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework for incident, problem, and change management
