So, what s the job?

  • You ll coordinate with the primary JIRA Administrator to plan, schedule, implement, and communicate JIRA & plug-in upgrades following established policies and procedures.
  • You ll integrate with SSO, GitHub and other various tools into Jira.
  • You ll monitor JIRA databases and copy data from PROD to TEST instance when requested.
  • You ll work with JIRA to enable custom workflows, screens, fields, and dashboards.
  • You ll train end users on JIRA features during project deployments and with ongoing support
  • You ll architect and administer JIRA deployment, focusing on providing a platform for Housing units to administer, track and report on department-wide projects and issues.
  • You ll work independently with stakeholders to design and deliver JIRA workflows to meet the stated and unstated business requirements.
  • You ll analyze current JIRA configurations and migrate to new instances.
  • You ll be able to provide/ configure JIRA for manual processes.
  • You ll Code, test, and debug new software/applications or make enhancements to existing software/applications and provide solutions using JIRA.
  • You ll create, copy, and administer JIRA projects.
  • You ll Design, configure, manage, and support Atlassian tools, primarily JIRA and support custom JIRA workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports.
  • You ll train JIRA Project Team Support resources and Create JIRA training and support documentation.
  • You ll Perform JIRA demonstrations to project teams.
  • You ll compile and analyze development and operational bug reports.
  • You ll deploy application - Java, Standalone Custom Apps, COTS Products
  • You ll develop Atlassian Plugin Development
  • You ll possess a high degree of familiarity with databases and SQL competence
  • You ll demonstrate experiences in Unix and Linux environments.

And what are we looking for?

  • You ll have a minimum of 5+ years experience with Jira administration.
  • You ll have experience using JavaScript, XML, and HTML
  • You ll have experience in JIRA/Atlassian System Admin certification (admin or higher) (Good to have)
  • You ll demonstrate ability with Atlassian products.
  • You ll have the technical expertise to integrate with Microsoft services, Github, ServiceNow and other tools.
  • You ll have experience in IT service management, ITIL certification preferred,
  • You ll have JIRA Certified System Administrator or JIRA Certified Application Developer (Good to have)
  • You ll have experience troubleshooting integration management, security, and application issues
  • You ll have experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, and web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc
