Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and abstracting medical records for HCC coding.
• Ensuring coding accuracy by following ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Ensuring HIPAA compliance and maintaining data confidentiality.
• Staying updated with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial risk adjustment guidelines.
• Utilizing EMR/EHR systems effectively for documentation review and coding validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Risk Adjustment Coding (HCC), ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Risk Adjustment Medical Coding & QA.
• Experience with CMS Risk Adjustment models (Medicare & Medicaid).
• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems and coding software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify and correct coding errors.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced RCM environment.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
