Software Development Engineer - Test - Automation Testing (5-10 yrs)

Role : Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location : Remote

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Automation Development : Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for both web and mobile applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product quality.

- API Testing : Utilize tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate to create and execute API test cases, ensuring robust backend functionality.

- Framework Implementation : Develop and enhance test automation frameworks using TypeScript, Jest, or fast-check, facilitating efficient and reliable testing processes.

- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD to enable continuous testing and rapid delivery.

- Debugging and Troubleshooting : Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues promptly and effectively.

- Database Validation : Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and consistency across various databases.

- Unit Testing : Develop unit tests for Node.js applications using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine to ensure code reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications :

- Experience: At least 3 years in test automation and software testing.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in JavaScript programming language.

- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

- Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as TypeScript/Jest/fast-check.

- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

- Knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation.

- Experience with Node.js and unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with mobile application testing.

- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools.

- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
