Assistant Accounts Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Manage accounting ledgers by validating and forwarding account operations.
2. Ensure accurate recording of Purchase, Sales, Receipts, and Payments entries in compliance with Direct and Indirect Taxation.
3. Reconcile supplier and customer account statements and resolve discrepancies.
4. Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to address and resolve issues.
5. Generate and reconcile weekly vendor payment runs, ensuring quality checks.
6. Organize and maintain accounting records efficiently.
7. Allocate petty cash by documenting entries and validating all supporting documentation.
8. Facilitate smooth payment processing and bank operations in collaboration with team members.
9. Assist in month-end closing activities and audits.
10. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce or Accounts.
2. Above 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a relevant field.
3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
6. High attention to detail and accuracy.
