Job Purpose

To manage and provide leadership to the Strategy and planning efforts of RIOP Manufacturing operations of Thiruvallur facility for driving Operations excellence, capacity optimization or expansion projects, new products introduction, cost optimization, etc. through LEAN and 6 Sigma projects.

Provides strategic leadership to the most impactful projects that position Caterpillar for long-term success by ensuring a consistent delivery of goals to support the Enterprise Strategy. The incumbent will report to the Senior Director of Manufacturing operations Manager of the facility and will provide key insights through competitive analysis and benchmarking for driving operational excellence.

Lead periodical governance of strategic projects and reporting to key stakeholders across the division and enterprise.

Responsibilities

Driving Operations excellence Strategy for the facility

Lean deployment, 6 Sigma deployment

Providing quality governance, quality analytics and quality management.

Degree Requirement

Degree or equivalent experience desired

Consulting Process & Tools: Knowledge of consulting process; ability to engage in planning sales, conducting research and analysis, finding solutions and preparing recommendations.
