Job Description
- Support senior drafters and engineers in creating detailed structural drawings and plans
- Assist in examining documents such as contract drawings, specifications, and change orders to verify completeness and accuracy of data according to designer s drawings
- Use CAD and Tekla software to produce technical drawings
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret design specifications and ensure alignment with project requirements
- Review and adjust drawings to meet industry codes, regulations and project standards
- Assist in communicating with project team members to coordinate drafting activities and resolve design related issues
- Assist in the preparation of design documentation, reports and presentations
- Learn and apply industry standards and best practices in structural drafting
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines throughout all tasks and projects
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or equivalent, or certification from trade/technical school in a related discipline
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla and other similar tools is required
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, governmental regulations, drawings and job specifications
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with customer
