Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using ProC (embedded SQL in C/C++).

- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for Oracle databases.

- Develop and maintain complex ProC programs for data manipulation and processing.

- Implement robust error handling and debugging mechanisms.

- Develop and maintain C/C++ code for application logic and functionality.

- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Design and implement database schemas and data models.

- Develop and maintain database triggers, stored procedures, and functions.

- Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ProC applications.

- Investigate and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Implement enhancements and bug fixes as required.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and user manuals.

- Generate reports on application performance and database usage.

- Document troubleshooting procedures and knowledge base articles.

- Work closely with database administrators, system analysts, and other developers.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Participate in team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 3+ years of experience in ProC development.

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.

- Extensive experience working with Oracle databases.

- Strong understanding of SQL and embedded SQL programming.

- Experience with database design and data modeling.

- Experience with database triggers, stored procedures, and functions.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
