Role Overview:

The Lead Business Development (Retail Network Development) is responsible for market intelligence, business expansion planning, property identification, and franchisee acquisition in the commercial real estate sector. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, negotiating property deals, and ensuring successful onboarding of properties and franchisees.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Planning & Market Intelligence
   
• Analyze commercial real estate trends to support business expansion.
• Provide insights for network expansion and cascade plans to the team.
2. Property Identification & Onboarding
   
• Allocate regions for property scouting.
• Shortlist and approve properties based on business criteria.
• Conduct negotiations with landlords to align with budget constraints.
• Oversee legal due diligence and finalize agreements.
3. Relationship Management
   
• Maintain relationships with key landlords, mall developers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely rent payments and handle escalations.
• Renegotiate contracts for renewals and underperforming properties.
4. Franchisee Acquisition
   
• Identify and engage potential franchisees with strong business backgrounds.
• Manage partnerships for franchise expansion.
5. People Management
   
• Collaborate with HR for recruitment.
• Monitor team performance and provide development opportunities.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Education: Postgraduate degree in Management.
• Experience: 10-12 years in retail business development, especially in real estate projects.
