Role: Network Engineer L2

Shift: Night Shift + Weekend

Experience: 5 – 8 years

Start date: Immediate

Location: Bangalore (hybrid work)

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on network support, network migrations, firewall management and network security.
3. Prior experience in network migrations.
4. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, VLANs, and subnetting.
5. Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Wireless, Meraki Networks, Routing and switching issues, firewall policies, NAT, VPN, and IPSec tunnels.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key skills:

Core Switch and/or firewall Config and setup (including distribution switch for large facilities)

i) Vlan/ IP schema (new) - Re-IP

ii) Access Layer switch connection

iii) DHCP configuration - Re-IP

iv) Cross connect to legacy environment and/or migration of legacy environment to new network

infrastructure

• Access Layer switch configuration (Static IP, port configuration, stp) - end user device migration
• Access Point configuration (Static IP, Antenna, Profile) - SSID migration
• SDWAN Configuration (setup, intranet and internet connectivity, failover testing) - AWS connectivity
• Server Connection (network setup)
• UPS/PDU connection & configuration
• Phones setup - re-ip and migration to new switches
• Vendor/ IoT device connection - re-ip
• Printer connection (network setup) - re-ip and wms connectivity
• Routing configuration on legacy environment for end user devices to access
• Removing the legacy devices from monitoring and adding new devices on Monitoring
• Network Diagram (HLD & LLD)
• Updating complete activity with Change details and documents on centralized repository
• Coordinating with Vendor and being part of all meetings
