Area Sales Manager

Job Profile:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share for floor cleaner products in the assigned territory.
• Identify and prioritize sales opportunities within the territory, including new customer acquisition and growth opportunities with existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers & distributors, retailers, and key decision-makers to drive product sales and increase brand visibility.
• Conduct regular market analysis and competitive research to identify market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
• Provide product training and support to distributors and retailers to ensure effective product promotion and sales.
• Analyse sales data, and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
• Travel within the territory to meet with customers, attend industry events, and conduct sales presentations as needed.
• Should have knowledge to generate the primary & secondary sales as per given target.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record of 5-10 years of sales experience in the cleaning products industry, with a focus on floor cleaner products.
• Strong understanding of the cleaning products market, industry trends, and customer needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

The ASM will be solely responsible for managing the distribution and retail networks within their designated area. This includes identifying potential distributors and retailers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships.

Without a direct team, the ASM will need to independently set and achieve sales targets. This involves strategizing and executing sales plans to meet or exceed targets.

The ASM will appoint distributors and retailers and oversee their performance to ensure effective product distribution and market penetration.
